The Head of Department (HOD) is a key position in a school, responsible for providing strong academic leadership and managing the department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities .
Our HOD’s actively participate in classroom teaching, ensure the efficient functioning of the department, and organize pertinent extra-curricular activities . They take responsibility of empowering teachers to reach professional maturity by creating opportunities for their professional development at school and making sure that development policy is properly implemented . They are well versed in terms of executing their management roles, and that collaborative learning approaches must be initiated and implemented
